ASC magazines for 6.5 Grendel have been on the market longer than any other 6.5 Grendel mags. The ASC mags have been sold by Midway as A R Stoner. At one time Alexander Arms sold rebranded ASC mags with an AA floor plate. Alexander Arms now sell E-Lander. ASC 6.5 Grendel mags can be purchased from 44mag.com and gunmagwarehouse cheaper than directly from ASC.


ASC has pretty poor customer service if you follow gun forums. ASC mags are probably the cheapest 6.5 Grendel mags on the market. It’s fairly common to get ASC mags with poor welds or improperly adjusted feed lips. The least reliable 6.5 Grendel mag on the market by design is the 15 round ASC mag. The ten round and 25 round ASC mags are generally the most likely to work.

The ASC mags I own hold one less round than the stated capacity. ASC includes the chambered round into their advertised capacity so the 25 round actually holds 24 rounds. I own five ASC 24 round mags and one mag would not feed new out of the package. I had to adjust the left feed lip to match my good mags. Once I adjusted the feed lip the mag has functioned.

Rumors were another manufacture was going to start selling 6.5 Grendel mags. Maybe something will be released at the SHOT show. Of the current mags on the market I like the E-Lander mags the best. The new CPD mags get good reviews but all brands have a few lemons slip through.

Thanks for the insight...very helpful. I am new to Grendel, currently buying parts to complete a 6.5 upper build. Looking ahead to mags and reloads to test.
