satern liberty barrels.... any issues????

I want to buy a satern liberty barrel.... not sure what the difference is between it and the plain old satern... anyway, is there anything i should know about these? Are they ok????

So far my 16" Liberty barrel is shooting 1/2" 100 yd. groups with 120 gr. NBT's. Still adjusting powders with 123 smk's and Amax, but they are hovering around 1" pretty easily. K

liberty is a button barrel. satern is a cut riffling . loki used them in some builds i my self had one ,that i sold on here no problems ever reported. the groups that are in my sig are from a liberty

I also have a liberty barrel. 18 inch with a WCI muzzle brake. 1:8 right hand twist. Tack driver with 120-123 Lapua, SMK's and Nosler boattail. I'm really happy with the barrel. Saturn is cut rifled and Liberty is button rifled. Either one is a good barrel us go with. Depends on whether you prefer cut or button rifling.

Satern and Liberty are sister companies, with Steve and Deb Satern owning Satern, and Liberty owned either partially by them and someone else, or a similar arrangement. They share the same mailing address. Satern makes cut rifled barrels, and Liberty has functioned as their button rifled and lower cost line. When you see Satern/liberty it is because both companies stopped making Grendel barrels at the same time and because of the same issues.

Since they can't decide if they are Grendel or .264 LBC barrels, (read the label vs the description) my guess is that they are Liberty barrels, but that's a guess only!

i have a liberty barrel and it shoots sub moa. one thing in my barrel that i noticed, there were lots of burs on the extension. i guess the machinist missed deburring that one. no prob i just deburred it.

+1 bill, yes I think midwayusa mess up with this ar-stoner barrel, 65 grendel or .264 lbc, lucky i bought my 24" grendel barrel on AA online ( & waiting on pricing for re-design 18" cut-rifled barrel they say 4-6 weeks since 11/30/11 )

I don't have any info I just ask question on 18" barrel with chromed bolt and here are the reply from one of the representative.

"I’m sorry to tell you that we can’t substitute or exchange the bolt for the upgraded chromed bolt. You can buy the chromed bolt separately at a cost of $90.43 and the barrel and bolt combo for $320. At the present time, the cut rifled barrels have just be redesigned and we hope to have them back in stock in about 4-6 weeks.
