And the Faxon is back to $28.50... Hey, that JAG GB is VERY good looking for $22! The primary reasons I like the Faxon GBs is their nitride finish and the 3x hex screws instead of the typical 2x... & yup, I also didn't realize they're selling Evil Black Assault Rifle parts outta the Land O' Barry & Rahm. I'll support Optics Planet jus' for that IRONIC sharp stick in the eye!

Just bought this - Nikon Prostaff 5 4.5-18x40 for $316.29 at Walmart (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Nikon-Rifle-S...h/24403474). As Optics Planet price matched, Californians (and others may) save on taxes (and shipping). Not sure how the Prostaff line differs from Monarch, but one more option to choose from is always good.

I've shot Nikon SLRs/lenses for the past 20 years - primarily sports. Canon ate their pro photog lunch for a long time, but not for the past 5-10 years - Nikon has/is bringing some serious optic innovations to mkt...! Thus my loyalty to their glass which has ALWAYS been benchmark. I'm pretty sure both Nikon's 1st line Monarch (& new BLACK series) and their 2nd line Prostaff scope series' are mfg in the Philippines, BUT both incorporate Japan glass w/ a great lifetime warranty. What you get with Monarch over Prostaff (w/ the occasional exception) is ED glass and Parallax correction. Good SFP scopes if you're lazy like me and are attracted to their SpotOn app/BDC Reticle combo... If you prefer to dial, there are LOTS of other options out there.

I spent most of my paycheck last week buying ammo from Brownell's (most of it was 6.5 Grendel). Laws regarding purchasing ammo in California change January 1; which will make it more cumbersome to buy ammo. Need enough ammo of various calibers to last for a looong time - especially 6.5 Grendel which is hard to find at a LGS in SoCal.

I requested that AIM Surplus email me when they had the Wolf Grendel upper back in stock. They did and the "AIM20YEARS" code was applicable for it. Seemed fitting to pick up a Wolf upper to shoot my Wolf Steel Case ammo. Will post a report after first range trip.

Yeah well with barrels are (hopefully) inbound soon I'm glad to pay whatever difference to get them ASAP. I've heard of short and long wait from Alexander directly. And I've been to busy buying build parts at good sale prices all summer long so I procrastinated and it luckily paid off. I also noticed their "AR Stoner" mags are fairly highly rated. Has anyone tried them SPECIFICALLY in 6.5 Grendel?
I bought quite a few of them when O Bunmer was talking about the ban and sent some back the quality and dimension control looked pretty bad like uneven feed lips, poor spot welds, poor stamping/ material not flush at seams/spot welds. Etc.
