I saw that today and thought about building my Grendel with it but then I couldn't get my self to pay the extra cost for it. lol

MAD gets $470 to do that pattern on receivers/handguard/stock and buying an Aero black lower receiver and enhanced 15" upper receiver/handguard runs about $400 so it's actually a pretty good deal.

Even better deal on the M5 for $599 since a black kit goes for $499 and FDE for $570. I already have more black ARs than Jason Pierre Paul can count on one hand......

Ya, those paint shops get WAY to much money for their work. I don't know why anyone would paint cars or anything else for those prices. I can easily do that myself and have most of the equipment. No biggie for me there. I've actually thought about applying at both Aero and mad custom. Mad is just a little to far for me to drive daily. Aero would be sweet. I like alot of their products.

And alot of their HG's start at $60/80, and I already have what I consider you be superior lowers to the ones they are selling. An I got mine for $45ea. Throw a few small 4oz bottles of cerakote in there and I can EXACTLY what I want for a better deal. And I'm happy to do the extra work to get EXACTLY what I want.
Like I said not trying to poo poo. It's just to rich for me. And not exactly what I'm looking for. But thanks for posting. Hopefully someone will be inspired. They do sell alot of cool kits though. I kinda liked the star wars ines they had with battle worn white. But there again I'd rather just look at the pics.

Lol - some people have different talents and spraying a gong white is about as far as my coatings application skills go. If I were to try and cerakote an AR white, it would probably end up looking like the battle worn Star Wars set.

I do have both an aero quantum handguard and their regular enhanced handguard. There is a difference - kind of like VW to Audi. The quantum is beefier, has more metal and the finish is somehow less refined. I have the 15" quantum on my 458 Socom over the Brownells heavy contour barrel. Since it's the sledgehammer of the AR world, it works just fine there, especially with the FAB stock with mag carrier on the other end. With that said, that build took a long time, so I looked at everything and there is nothing that even comes close to the quantum at that price, especially when you can mate it with the enhance upper receiver and be truly free floating.

Living in an area where there is no such thing as Spring makes me forget that not everyone gets a hard on for desert camo themes. Thus, if no one's inspired, I'll be sure to show Drogon off in a 6.5 family photo many months from now (yes, about half my rifles have names). If I was buying a barrel for him today, it would be a 24" Proof Research in 260....

Oddly enough, Multiam is a great mountain camo pattern, especially in winter. Surprised me, even in winter. I think the whole Desert Camo fad is all the current MIL activity in such regions. We get involved in another jungle event, Tiger Stripe will make a comeback.

I do most of my rifle shooting in Gypsum with occasional trips to Grand Junction or BLM land to the west, so the desert themes are natural for me. Black rifles end up looking as dirty as a pair of black boots when I do any prone shooting.
