Seater Stem Issue

Using a Wilson seater die and I'm having an issue. I have used them extensively with other cartridged and never had this problem. When seating either the 123 Amax or the 123 Scenar, the bullet sticks in the seater stem and leaves a distict ring around the bullet. I emailed Wilson and they want me to spend another $35 on a VLD seating stem, but they're not ever sure that would fix it. Suggestions?

Here's what's happening (obviously not to scale). The pointier nose of the Scenars and 123 Amaxs don't fit the profile of most 6.5mm ogives and because they're leaner they fit up into that hole at the top (I don't know if your seater has a hole at the top? mine does, IIRC-- It's 2000 miles away right now so I may be wrong) and wedge on the corner.


Either that, or you have too much neck tension (have to force too much to seat the bullet), or maybe something else? I'm no expert, but I have noticed the rings on a few of my rounds (Mostly with scenars)
