6.5 Grendel Rifle and Chassis Build

Built a Grendel off a Stevens 200 I purchased on Gunbroker. I stripped it down to the receiver and trued the face and bolt abutments. I ordered a X-Caliber SS blank and chambered it. The pics show more of the chassis build than the rifle.

I just started load development, and I'm getting fair groups and awesome velocities with Leverevolution, under Nosler 123 CC. A little more tweaking and I think I will have an accurate load.

You are an "artist" sir, that is a fine looking rifle!
I know you have only begun to test but you might try some other traditional bullet, powder combination's for the Grendel. I.E. SMK, LAPUA Scenar or Hornady Amax bullets with 2520, 8208, CFE are some examples you may be aware of....

Thanks for all the compliments. I bought a AB Arms chassis for my Rem 700 308 build, and that thing was expensive for what it was. I figured, how hard can it be to build my own. I found all the raw materials online, and spent a whopping 75 bucks on them. My time is free, and I find that being in front of the lathe and mill to be a major stress reliever. This chassis was originally built for a Savage 10 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have a AR 6.5 Grendel, but figured i would build a boltie too. I built a second chassis for the Grendel, but ended up putting the Creedmoor in it. The Grendel chassis is loosely based off the XLR Carbon, and the Creedmoor, off the AICS AX. Here are some pics of the second chassis build.
