Just got the stock in the mail today. To my surprise this bumps up the weight of the rifle by 9 oz over the factory stock I have been working with. Never the less I am pleased with this Featherweight Thumbhole CZ 527 Varmint stock. The cheek weld just feels right.
Will know more when I get around to getting her out and shooting. Have plans for activities w my 6 year old son b4 school starts. May be a while.

The Ross Thumbhole stock fits me better than any stock I have shouldered. The stiffness You get from the laminate stock will be well worth the extra 9ozs. :-)

Like those stocks they are both good looking and very functional, but after glass and pillar bedding my CZ527 and reinforcing the stock I think I will stick with the factory wood stock. Pretty sure the rifle can easily out shoot me.

Had the rifle out sporting the new stock the past two evenings trying out a new powder as well. Had lots of compliments this evening at the range. The stock is very pleasing to the eye and just plain fits me well.
As for the new loads I have worked with 129 grain flat base SP & 123 grain SST over 31.8 grains of LVR and accuracy is very pleasing to my eye here also with a clear nod going to the 123 grain SST.
Ill be working with this more experimenting w primers, seating depth and slight adjustments to charge weight.

Kmon: How long have you been working W your CZ 527 in 6.5 Grendel? Think I may find myself slipping This rifle back in the factory wood stock myself from time to time as I don't care for the thought of beating up the thumb hole stock in the field.
I originally put this in a varmint Walnut stock from a 204 Rugers originally, and she did well. As much as I am liking shooting off a bench any more the thumbhole stock seemed like a worthwhile investment. Truth be told my favorite stock to date when shooting a CZ527 from a bench has been the Aramid target stock they put on 223's & 204 Rugers for a while.
This Leverevolution has acquired my attention as much I have tried to stay away from ball powders over the years. I find myself being swayed again.
