I thought I would ask being as I dont see anyone on here talking about it.

Six cops were shot in the line of duty in Dallas at a Black Lives Matter event.

Just wanted to let the horde know so yall could keep them and their families in yalls prayers.

Did not want to start a thread, but glad you did. Total shame and totally disgusted with the media and the government. Thoughts and prayers go out to the officers that died in the line of duty and also the civilians and the ones that were wounded too. Included it that would be the family members of all involved. Myself and my family are so sorry that some POTrash had to do something like this!!

Did you all know that there were more white people killed by officers than blacks last year? But no one probably knows the last white persons name that was the last one killed??
I think the media and the president need to stress the facts and the truth everyday, instead of fueling the fires! I e-mailed all my LEO friends yesterday and asked them to be careful. Their reply was they have been on alert for months and it is hard for them to do their jobs. They can not trust anyone right now.

To all LEOs PLEASE be safe and ALERT at all times and watch your back. I pray each and everyone of you go home safe after each day of work!

It is indeed a very sad day for all involved, as far as the media and the POTUS them stress the truth never going to happen, they are all liers.

And as sad as this event is, I hate to say it but the gun control nuts and that idiot in the whitehouse are just going to use this horrible event to help their cause and not focus on the real problem at hand.

1 Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) killed, 3 wounded
2 Civilians wounded

Now they are saying one shooter and he met a DPD robot with a C4 present after hours of DPD trying to negotiate with him, he quit resending and during that time more shots were fired before they sent in the robot and neutralized him with the C4.

This afternoon the DPD station was under lockdown after a threat was issued, haven't heard the outcome of it but occurred while I was at work. Most of the officers that work these protests are picking up some extra cash doing overtime.

Where this happened is about 19 miles from the house. I was home and keeping updated from all the local news and Texashuntingforum where moderating some of the discussions kept me busy for a few hours. Very sad day in Dallas history.

Prayers up for all the LEO out there, afraid we have not seen the last of this type of action but pray we have.

The guy that they put his picture up on the news as a person of interest shortly after the shooting turned his AR over to a Dallas Officer very shortly after the shooting started, he was exercising his right to carry. Later after he found out about his picture being on the news he turned himself in to another officer that was on the scene.

Haven't heard about the ones they did a traffic stop on and took into custody after one was seen throwing a bag into a vehicle that stopped on a street near by and someone other than the driver threw in a bag and they sped off getting out of downtown. They were apprehended a few miles later.

Like someone said it reminded them of 911 right after it started, the demonstrators running away while the officers were running to the action and taking action on behalf of those that had been hit, several getting squad cars in between the fallen and the shooter providing some cover and getting the wounded in cars, providing first aid as they could on the way to nearest hospital.

An Odessa church held a prayer service bringing people together to pray and express about the state we are seeing. Roy is an active member and has been for years on the THF, damn good man and officer. I think he sums up what a lot of us are thinking, The link is to the news footage from that gathering.

Well, let's not be half-assed about it. Let's have a nationwide dusk-to-dawn curfew, and arrest anyone who is outside during the hours of darkness.

I agree drift. In my opinion, open carry shouldn't be allowed in any demonstration such as this. If you think you need to carry in this situation, stay home. Common sense goes a long way. The guys who were open carrying ar15's turned them over to police peacefully, but just imagine what could've happened after the shooting started and those guys are walking around with ar15's. It would be akin to trying to decide which guy is taliban and which guy is just a Muslim trying to protect his family from the tali.

Most drunk driving happens at night. Think of all the lives that could be saved.

Plus, a lot of robberies, rapes, and murders happen at night. With a permanent curfew, violent crime would plummet!

Stood on the Indepence Street bridge over the President George Bush Tollway today and watched the funeral procession for the first of the officers being laid to rest. Was sobering to see the outpouring of support and solidarity on display. Citizens, FD and PD alike. Hundreds of police vehicles from all over this state of ours, as well as at least a half a dozen other states were a part of the procession.

This was in stark contrast to the divisive rhetoric spewed forth by Obama at the memorial service yesterday. Although the media prefers to depict a nation on the brink of self-destruction and continually focuses on the evil. I prefer to believe that good will prevail and witnessed just that in the face of tragedy today.
