I bought a BAD receiver set and started buying parts to build a lightweight hunting rifle, and a light-ish rifle for everything else. After taxes I'll be buying a lower for the 5.56 so that they don't share anymore.

Man, I've got to educate myself on brands. I read " BAD" and thought you mention out of spec. I paid good money for a matched receiver set one time, and it was bad. Barrel to receiver fit was looser than my old Chevy's steering. Good news is the company stood behind it.

Man I'd really love to get one of those reciever sets for my sbr.... Needless to say I'm drooling over here, lol. Nice list of parts, and those v7 parts a sweet!
Edit: how do you like the BA barrels? Thinking of one for a 556 & 300blk.

It's my first BA barrel and haven't shot it yet. They guarantee 1 MOA, about what I'm expecting.

It's loose right now, just a mock up. Once my barrel arrives from BHW(12+ weeks??) I'll get it together for real. And once my upper for the 5.56 gets here it will get put together and taken to the range.

The upper and parts showed up for the 5.56 upper, so it's basically done. I just need to put it together for real and get it sighted in. Now I'm just waiting for Black Hole to make and send my Grendel barrel!

My barrel finally showed up. A Black Hole Weaponry stainless 16" 1-in-8 MLGS with the honeycomb fluting. I can finally put it together for real tomorrow.

The barrel turned out to be a little heavier than I had expected, but still OK. Here it is except for the little screws for the handguard. I'll be changing a couple steel parts into titanium or aluminum in the future.

Leupold VXR 2-7x33 These are some awsome glass, I have one on a AR, I'm very pleased with it. Wish I had more of the VX-R series scopes, perhaps I'll purge some of the less desirable too get more of the VX-R scopes.

The blaster has a standard gas block, standard carrier, standard upper, H2 buffer and standard mount and is still pretty light

I lapped the receivers, bedded the barrel extensions and gas blocks. Both are one ragged hole 4 out of 5 touching at 100 yards with factory Hornady 123 AMAX. Even with the Wolf, very surprised at that! I was expecting ~2".
