Feed Issue

Question:
Having issues at times feeding the last round. If I put one round in and fire bolt locks open no problem and round ejects about 2 oclock...If I put 3 rounds in the mag it has no problem cycling the first 2 but hangs up on the 3rd while feeding into the chamber. 16" heavy barrel, carbine length gas, a1 stock with rifle buffer and mil spec rifle spring. I had a shorty a2 stock with carbine buffer and had the same issue. Tried slowing down action with a wolf extra power spring but it seemed to close with more force and actually smash brass while ejecting. Open to thoughts....magazine issue? needs adjustable gas block? Different spring?

I am running a magazine that was a 5 rd mod to 10 by the shop i bought it from.

I've got the same barreled upper from J&T, I polished the extractor as from the factory the extractor was marking the brass with a gouge. My carbine gas system does not like lighter charges of CFE 223 powder and 123 grain bullets. What ammo are you using? My J&T has been totally reliable with factory Hornady 123 grain A-Max, Wolf 123 grain SP and 120 grain MPT, PPU 123 grain HP BT, PPU 110 grain FMJ and 100 grain Wolf steel cased ammo.

I also beveled the edge of the ejector on my bolt. I've had good luck with my carbine buffer and spring in a Double Star 6 position collapsable stock. I wonder if you aren't having a magazine problem, examine both feed lips to see if both sides match. I'd recommend getting E-Lander 6.5 Grendel mags, load them and let them set a few days. If your J&T won't function with factory ammo and E-Landers you'll know you've got another issue (feed ramp, gas or whatever).
