Howa mini action scope?

What rifle scope and mounts do you think would be optimum on the new Howa mini action with the 20" heavy barrel in 6.5 Grendel?

Kinda depends on what you want to use the little rifle for. If it is target shooting.. get a big honking scope.. about half the size and weight of the petite rifle. Me, I plan to use mine for hunting.. So something along the line of Leupold 2.5x8 x36 should be about right.. with low rings. Less then 12oz and less then 12 inches should match a light rifle well.

I plan on useing the rifle to hunt with but I live in a rural area and can walk out my door and shoot. I have steel targets that are placed at various locations out too 500 yds or so.The steel targets are old tie plates and bucket teeth from front end loaders.I like to have a fairly compact scope on a small rifle.Today I came across on the internet a Redfield Revolution TAC MOA in 3x9x40 with compact adjustable turrets that might be suitable.It is nice to be able to adjust the elevation for shooting at steel targets.I have not seen one of these scopes but something along that line interests me.Any one tried one?

I bought 4 sets of the Talley lows for use on the Howa Mini's and they work reall good with a bunch of scopes. I stocked up as freight and the Aussie dollar was shit at the time

If you look closely, the various BDC reticle scopes for AR rifles which are calibrated for classic 7.62x51 NATO cartridge will be remarkably close to Grendel use with 107gn match bullets.

Of course, if you just want a simple scope, there is nothing wrong with a compact 2-7 or 3-9 type scope. They will fit the Mini action perfectly.
