I'm tired of hearing Obamas speeches about how guns are bad and Muslims are good. He says terror attacks are done only by radicalized Muslims. Before someone can become a radicalized Muslim, aren't they first a regular Muslim? Tashfeen Malik was a pharmacist, so no one can claim she wasn't very smart. What are these people reading and what kind of grip does it place on them? Are we concerned about people from any other religion becoming radicalized and killing people?
Yes, now more than ever in recent history, we should keep and bear arms. That's my plan anyway.
Drivers texting ARE a real danger and I watch for them constantly, but that isn't what this thread is about, is it?

Sickening, there is real evil in this world. Any religion that glorifies death or promotes superiority and subjugation over others is evil. This is why our founding fathers created a form of government that is suppose to inhibit absolute power and created division of power which is why we have the second amendment.

Stanc I do enjoy your thinking. Yes all religions have people who are guilty of evil but there are a few religions that have a history of excess in blood shed and subjugation. I may have missed it but I have never read any teachings of Jesus Christ that encouraged rape, child marriage, enslavement, beheading, body dismemberment,theft and subjugation of non Christians. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The goal of Islam I believe, is world domination. Perhaps their plan is to infiltrate an area with "peacefull Muslims" then rely on the support of those in that area sympathetic to their cause, to allow them to stay.
In the example provided of what are supposed to be Christians killing others, was this done to invoke fear in the hearts of non Christians? Does our Bible teach us to either convert non believers or kill them? There have always been murders and always will be but when one group of people are doing this solely in the name of their so called religion in order to advance that religion, it becomes a total different matter. It's a shame that some, can not grasp that.

You are not incorrect stanc but as Corey stated, "They don't do this in the name of their religion. They simply do as their religion teaches". There is another religion in the middle east that has very similar doctrines if you dig into it. My friend Nukes was banned for bringing it to peoples attention since discussing religion and politics can bring out angry and hurtful emotions. This forum is not the place to discuss these matters. There are somethings in this world we simply cannot prevent but being able to have a fighting chance with a fire arm is one thing we can do and the point of this thread. If a person is trying to murder another for what ever religious or political belief it is wrong. Life is precious and we have to accept there are evil people in this world who have no hesitation in taking people's lives to promote their agenda.

Now you're just intentionally being dense. Of course they committed those atrocities because of what they believe and likely believed that Christianity somehow justified their actions. Just because they believe it, doesn't make it true much like just because you read it on the internet doesn't make it true.
How much clearer do I need to say that Christianity (the New Testament) does not teach nor condone murder, rape, or other such evil acts. This is not true of the Koran.
We have not been referring to simply what they believe, but what they have been taught to believe.
