New grendel upper

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about radical firearms 24" grendel upper. I will be making a purchase soon for my long range gun, was just hoping for some input. Thanks

I have it and have been doing very well with it so far. Just got a new scope to go with it and sighted it in for 200 yards. White was sighting in, black reactive was best of three three shot groups.

the only thing i dont like about that upper,is the same with most uppers nowdays is the handguard covers up most of the barrel. i understand the whole gas system with the longer barrels,i just dont like it. i think i may just try to cut the guard back to behind the gas block?????

Dont cut it just get a new hand guard.

i think the guard that is on there is 15". i wonder if a 12 would work out ok..

I'm out hunting with it now, will measure it when I get in but it looks like it would still cover enough

Just for an idea of how confident I am with this setup I would take deer in the clearing of one comes out.
It's roughly 540 - 680 yards out.

nice pic, i love being out there, it looks like here just more snow.. i should be out with the muzzleloader, but i have 3 weeks yet. that would be great if you could measure that for me.. thanks

Range finder put it at 560 to the front edge 710 to the farthest back corner. I'm in a recently clear cut spot, tree line is 75-125 on the other side of the tree line is 300 yards of gravel pit then 200 yards of field.

Nope, 12 in would leave the gas tube exposed, 13 would work though.

Well i guess i'll just have to see how it looks in person, not much to compare it to in pics..i just like to see alot of the nice barrel tht im paying for ya know.but i did find a free float 13" for around 100 bucks
