Excelleeeeeeeeeeent. With your JP gas block, M16 Bolt Carrier, and H3 buffer, we should not be hearing about any short-stroking issues. Any groups...range report? Looking forward to pics.
All Ive really shot it off of was the back off my tailgate while laying down in the bed of my truck with no bag or anything so no really solid groups to post yet. I havent had any kind of failure to feed failure to eject problems or anything like that prolly have about 150 rounds through it Im running the gas block about a half turn overgassed just for reliability. Right now im peicing together a reloading kit and prolly going to gett some bags together and try to post some groups might be a month or two though.

Sorry to hijack, but when I was building my rig I was tossed between the mellinium brake and yours Warped. I ended up buying the mellinium but may end up ordering one from you as well. As soon as I can talk my wife into letting me spend more $ on this one or another.
You will want a heavier buffer than the standard 2.9 oz. carbine buffer, but if you're using a Magpul PRS, you'll be fine with the standard 5.2 oz rifle-length buffer. The Grendel has a larger gas impulse & volume than a 5.56 gun, so you need heavier buffers and/or M16 bolt carriers to keep the bolt locked longer.
Well thats certainly not what I wanted to hear. I have just got the lower in, and due to an order problem with the barrel I have decided to buy a complete upper from loki. I will only be getting the 16" so I likely wont buy the PRS stock. Will the buffer I have work for now or should I order another. If so, LRRP do you have any suggestions on exactly what and where to get it?
What spring would you recommend for a Carbine length? I have a carbine length and using standard equip with it. What would work for the 6.5 as well as the 5.56?

What magazine are you using? I plan on using mine for deer as well, but I can only find 5rd mags (have not looked that hard), but if you can give a suggestion, that would be great.
Palmetto State Armory has a nice assortment of buffers with different weights. If you have a carbine receiver extension, you use a carbine spring. You can try your current configuration as is, and see if there are any issues. A carbine buffer might work fine, but I really prefer the heavier buffers in the Grendel. 2.9 oz carbine buffers are meant for 5.56 guns shooting 55gr with .068" gas ports, and they don't even do that so well. The Grendel is pushing 100-129gr pills with a gas port closer to or above .100", with a few more grains of powder often. It would kinda be like taking a piston from a 4-cylinder import car, and putting it in your 6-cylinder Jeep Cherokee, running higher octane fuel...not very ideal. There needs to be more weight to fight the gas impulse from the Grendel, so your bolt stays locked longer.
I have never run into feed/ejection problems (except yesterday when I had a slam fire... but that is another story). I would like to tame the recoil on mine... Might have to try another spring.
I see them there. I will definitely have to check into those. I really wish that Magpul would make some though. I really love the polymer mags. Less noise and easier on scratching my brass...
