I recently received my new barrel, .264 LBC, from Black Hole Weaponry. { They make an excellent barrel at a fair price } I had ordered a Type 1 blot assembly with the barrel. BHW does not have any bolts available. They are having issues with their 6.5 bolt supplier. Last word was they are looking for an alternative supplier. "Meanwhile back at the ranch" I got no bolt! My buddy is also building the same rifle so actually I need two Type 1 bolts. Any suggestions?? All help is appreciated. I would like to hunt with this new baby this year so I can't wait too long. HELP !!

Any 7.62x39 bolt will work as a Type 1.

http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?i...earch=bolt. I'm using one of these in my BHW 264 LBC and have had no issues in over 1K rounds. You may want to radius the ejector and polish the extractor, but that goes for just about any of the currently available parts.

If I were using that chamber, I would use the LMT enhanced 7.62x39 bolt made from AerMet alloy. Nobody has been able to break one with high volume 7.62x39 from 10" full auto SBR's, but they were able to break the extractor, which is one of the first failure points on 10" guns in any caliber if they are gassed hard with insane cyclic rate and early unlocking.

i have that same st up in the sprinta precision 20" 264 lbc upper and it has been running 100% out of the box -- i didn't do a thing but look it over and drop it in---
brownells had a bunch of stripped 7.62x39 bolts on sale for $19 for the longest time--
i ended up buying three of them for spares---lol--
red-X has both kind of bolts for around $60 or less , i am going to buy a type .135 from them soon.
there are plenty of both types of bolts on thee market right now , no real problems finding either type.

Great information Guys ! I was told pacifically only a Type 1 6.5 Grendel or .264 LBC bolt would work because of the head spacing differences. .125 T1 verses .136 T2

Right that is correct, you need a type 1 which is basically a bolt used in the AR for the 762x39 or .264lbc the LMT bolt is a great option, Precision Firearms makes both and a Fabulous Company to work with. Happy Shooting when you get set up

Underground Tactical also has Type 1. I use their Type 2 (.135") but mine is chambers for type 2.

i received my barrel and bolt from BHW last weekend, i ordered the bolt at the same time as barrel, when the barrel was ready to ship they sent an email stating they were out of bolts and if i wanted to wait until the bolts came in or if i wanted the barrel shipped alone. i opted to wait, it took about 3 weeks but i got everything at once which was nice.
you might check to see if they have any available at this time!
