Finally finished building and testing my new toy and is ready to go hunting. The results are impressive. Last Saturday, at the range, got a 0.5" group at 100 yrds using Hornady 123 gr A-Max ammo.
It did not come out cheap and I refuse to add up the cost of all the parts so I don't scare myself on how much I spent on it or if my sweet wife asks, I won't have to lie.
The upper is the one makes it precise. I used a Precision Firearms BHW 16" with a HBAR Profile, threaded muzzle, bead blasted and fluted with a PF Super Match (NiB) Bolt. It was mounted on an Aero Precision Upper that I lapped true using a Brownells lapping tool (yes, it needed it).
I opted for a piston system and chose the low profile Syrac kit that comes with an adjustable gas block and a specially designed matching bolt carrier.
The lower is a Polymer80. I already built two other AR15s using this lower and all perform/work excellent.
A special note: I chose a threaded barrel to be able to install an extended thread protector to protect the muzzle from rough handling. Initially I installed an A2 type flashhidder, but it only acted as a Hopes 9 trap during cleaning. I ended using a simple Savage 10 muzzle protector that fulfills its intended use perfectly.

Added just recently a 3.5 pounds National Match trigger. It was a big improvement!!!!
Also added a Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter. This is a very ingenious and convenient upgrade that allows to transport your AR15 in a very short bag. It adds an extension to the bolt, and this means added weight, so I don't know if it is going to cycle the way I have it. Most likely I will have to re-adjust the gas chamber/piston. I'll have to go to the range to test. Its big con....it weighs 0.6 Lbs, so now my rifle weighs 8.4 lbs.
