I may just be a little gun shy with this administration, but preventing us from shipping parts and supplies would be a sneaky/effective means of limiting our ability to exercise our 2nd Amendment Rights.

shipping live primers in a non hazmat shipping container has been against the rules for a long time, it was probably just overlooked slightly when there was a few mixed in with brass... I don't see any problem or conspiracy here...

I was shipping my barrel to PF last november and was told by office depot and ups store that they would not ship gun parts. I explained it was only a stainless steel tube but no dice. I ended up using the usps. The postmaster is a family friend and she made me assure her that it was brand new and never fired. She didnt want to chance it alerting a sniffer or what not and me lose my barrel.
I agree that it is a backdoor attack on the 2nd ammendment

I have openly shipped- rifles,uppers,lowers,barrels,and ammo UPS w/no issues. I think you had biased teller that day!

My local drop off UPS has told me the same garbage. If I go to the main hub or use pickup I don't have a problem. The local Fedex main hub is right down the road from me, so I normally use Fedex.

Not news that USPS will not ship stuff that has to be marked ORMD. Goes UPS/FedEx, like all of our big suppliers have done for a looooong time now.
Local UPS stores are nuts. Will not ship if you tell them it's a rifle scope but will if you tell them it's "Optical Equipment." What?

Same here. I couldn't even ship an M14 stock with no iron at a UPS drop-off. I showed the idiots--- "look, it's a bare stick of wood". No dice. Had to drive to the hub (about an hour away).
The same week I shipped a full auto MP-40 with magazines at the post office in town with no problems. Go figure.
A buddy shipped out a rare Winchester 1918 BAR at the UPS hub, and the idiots tried to refuse the shipment three times----- after they had already accepted the crate. Then the supervisor at the hub called him back again after they nearly destroyed the package when they hit it with a forklift. He had to go back there, but fortunately the Winchester survived.
I despise shipping anything. I have bad luck with all of them at times.

Times have changed , I remember when the UPS driver left a full auto MP5 by my mail box back in the early 80's. Today I have to go to the hub to send any firearms or parts and have a copy of the FFL I'm sending it to. Welcome to progress--------NOT!

I just had the same problem of a "UPS Store" telling me they could not ship a barrel (a return shipment). Supposedly they have to have a FFL to ship? That's what they said. I don't think they made it up. I think they were told this for what ever reason.
Crazy! I mentioned it was not a controlled part requiring an FFL and they could even look it up. But nope, couldn't ship.
Said I had to go to the UPS hub.
So I did.
Comical; the guy a the UPS hub wanted to build and AR and was asking me questions about it.

For the longest time as far back as I can remember the only thing that the USPS will ship is fired brass. Never have had a problem shipping anything through UPS. Have never shipped a whole gun but the guy told me as long as it is going to an FFL dealer there is no problem. I think it is like going to the tax office some of these folks get a little authority and think they can make up the rules as they go knowing they really have no clue as to what they are really doing. Get a different answer from different people working at the same place. Just have to laugh at them because getting upset with the idiots does no good!!! It is COMICAL!!! BANG BANG!!
