well herre is the start of my grendel build. its a 24 inch AA stainless barrel, Mega machine shop billet side bolt upper, Midwest industries SS free float tube, adams arms rifle length piston conversion. I drilled the BCG and built the charging handle at work on the lathe. milled the barrel nut for the free float to work with the tube. what do you think.

I will when i get the lower completed it is a custom seekins precision from controlled chaos arms in iowa. i will then be finished with this build and will post complete pics of it. thanks

It's gorgeous!! That is very nice looking build you got going on. You read my mind! I want to do exactly that...as far as the Mega Side Charging Upper goes anyway. I know AA has one, but you can save a bit of coin this way. Don't know if anybody has noticed, but the AA Side Charging Billet Upper looks IDENTICAL to Mega's. Meanwhile, I don't own a lathe so I'm going to have to buy my side charging carrier....unless you want to help a fellow Grendel lover out? I would, of course, be glad to compensate a person, but I am thinking that I would have way more options on a carrier if I were to get it drilled myself. I'll have to look into that locally! Thank you for the great idea!
