First Post with first Grendel finally complete

Well I just finished my Grendel build and took to the range to zero it in. Didn’t get my ammo shipment in time so I had 20 rounds to bring everything together. Specs of my Grendel


Here are the upper specs:
-Spartan 18" SS fluted barrel
-Custom SS brake
-FailZero BCG
-Spikes Tactical upper
-Daniel Defense 14” Lite rail
-Harris S-series 9-13" bipod
-BCM Gunfighter Charging handle

Lower rec. specs:
-Spikes lower
-Timney Trigger
-Magpul PRS stock
-Magpul grip

For the optics I have the Nightforce 3.5 – 15x50 NXS Velocity reticle with LaRue Tactical LT-158 mount



Now for the pics, image of my shots are at 200 yards with Hornady 123 grain.. Not great but not to bad for first time out with this platform. Next week when ammo gets in I will have more time to play with it.

Where did you get the barrel and what do you think of those? I'm looking at the 18" and 20" of the same thing.

The Spartan barrels were an item from Satern Custom Machining. Satern no longer makes a Grendel barrel due to contractual disagreements. I think Grendel chambered barrels are only available through Alexander Arms or Templar Consulting now. There are several manufacturers of Grendel variants as well. What sort of usage are you intending for your rifle? Give us some more information and you'll receive more specific guidance.

I want to make a grendel hunting rifle. Probably deer and hog, though I can use the 5.56 for hog. I'm thinking a 20" barrel but I'm not sure. Any recommendations?
