Geissele Triggers

I am looking for opinions about Geissele triggers... More specifically the Super Dynamic Enhanced 3.5# or National Match Rifle Trigger. I have yet to make up my mind on what I want to use my Grendel for but I don't think I want a 1.8# trigger. :confused::confused:

I bought the HS national match-dmr. Worth every penny. I bought it because i wanted to be able to adjust it myself.

If i had to guess my second stage breaks around 4#.

Yes I agree. I love my National match trigger but it does obviously depend on what you are using it for. It will definitely tighten up your groups.

I've got the SSA-E and it's a great trigger, no hesitation recommending the Geissele.

I have used the SSA-E, the G2S (cheap version of the SSA), and also have a National Match from a few years back when Geissele sold only three types of trigger. The NM has never let me down but to be fair even though it is lighter than the SSA-E I can't tell the difference. My vote is on the SSA-E.

I am surprised that so few people prefer single-stage triggers. I am thrilled with the Geissele SD3G flat trigger.

I've got two NM triggers, and two Timney Single stage triggers. While I can't speak for the Geissele single stage triggers, I definitely prefer the Timney's. One is a 517, with the flat trigger, and it is my favorite of the two. It sounds like that SD3G would be a welcome upgrade to any of my shooters.

I can't shoot tiny groups with single stage "rolling"triggers...especially the ones for 3 gun.

I dont remember which one i have but its about 8 to 10 ounces and pretty much single stage.

Love my National Match in my 28 inch Grendel. single stage AA's and Flat CMCs in everything else!

I have a National Match in my homebrew Grendel build, and just love it. I had installed a Timney trigger in my DPMS LR-308 and was really disappointed in the end result. The trigger exhibited gritty creep (not as bad as the original) and measured 4.7 lbs on my Lyman trigger gauge. I replaced it with a National Match and it is a world of difference. I had sent an E-Mail to Timney asking if the trigger could be adjusted or changed in any manner and never received a response. Geissele makes a GREAT trigger that is easily installed and easily adjusted. Not cheap, but quality seldom is.

I bought the Geissele 2 Stage Enhanced Trigger (B-G2S-E) from Brownells, which I think is an exclusive sold only through Brownells. It feels good but haven't got to use it yet as the rest of the rifle isn't built yet.

The G2S that I have in 2 rifle are very nice triggers and the price is very reasonable. BANG BANG!!

Same here, I much prefer 2 stage, even in my 3 gun setup. I have both the SSA-E and the G2S triggers in my AR's, I recommend them highly.

I'm very high on Geissele triggers. I have a G2S in a stripped lower that I put together with a Stag 3GH upper, and a Colt LE 6920 (the stock 6920 trigger was terrible!) with a RRA Nat'l Match. Both are very similar, very nice 2 stage triggers, especially for the $$'s. I have a S3G on an AR pistol, it is very good for its intended purpose. All of these are 5.56.

I've shot a friends AR with a SSA-E and I liked it, so I now have a SSA-E on the workbench, waiting on a lower I have to finish for my first 6.5G.

My vote is for the SSA-E. After installing the trigger my group were much better.
Unless you shoot competition, I wouldn't spend any more money on a trigger.
