My slight suggestion, get a nice little 6.5G mark in the production casting on these things. Separate yourself from all others and really deliver! Next step... talk BFT into a production run with the logo as well. It has rapidly become our banner logo.

I'd be in for some custom mags, although I think I would still toss some color coded tape on them. Contrast is key in low light for me.

On March 14, Bevo noted...

FYI, whoever is running their Instagram account said last week that these were still "about 2 months out."

So based on the again revised estimate, we are looked at May 14 or so as the new possible release date.

Cool video and interesting description on the challenge that the shorter "cylinder" creates with the engineering.

I wondered how they were going to do make it work though, with plastic, and the big diameter 6.5Grendel round. So that 20 round sized mag, holds 10. Which is... fine; but was hoping for at least 15. I wondered how they were going to fit the fatter 6.5 Grendel casing in a polymer mag. Metal mags have very thin sheet-metal walls, with ribs. And the metals guys were able to make it fit double-stack with the larger diameter case-body, in a 5.56 sized mag body by just making the ribs more shallow (the follower wider, if you will). But plastic mags tend to run thicker walls, for strength. So I was wondering how they were going to fit double-stack inside a plastic mag and still be strong. I guess it being a 10 round mag and only feeding semi-single-stack style, answers that question. I sort of was expecting that to be the case.

I'm still interested, but have to say, a 10 shot mag the size of an E-lander 17 round mag... is kind of a slower sell. Only big advantage I'm seeing is that the plastic is a little more quiet in handling, and might have a lower price-point. I hope they succeed, I want to see one of these!

By the way, random side-question; are there any adapters for SKS stripper mags (into which 6.5 Grendel's fit), going to AR Grendel magazines?

If you shoot a lot of steel case ammo poly mags do tend to feed a bit smoother than some metal mags. I’ve not had a problem with Wolf steel thru E Lander 17s though. Just glad to see another 6.5g mag choice.

As for stripper loaders, I’m not aware of one, and I’ve looked, as I have a lot of 7.62x39 on strippers, and run 7.62x39 thru AR hybrid mags. I also run .223 on strippers thru a Maglula, a Thrmold, and a mil spoon loader. Neither the Maglula or Thermold loaders can run curved strippers. I’m thinking of trying to reshape the spoon loader for 7.62x39. I can’t think of an easy way to adapt an AK stripper loader for AR mags.

Lmao no I was playing with a few pmags I had converted last year lmao. Just thought I would have a laugh lmao.

Well heard back from amend2 today. Mags just came off the machine from doing a construction tweak and out too test again.

Hopefully this will iron out the last tweak they wanted too do and move smoothly through retesting and into production and market place.
