Mtn Shooter, Are you serious about using BMG bullets as targets? I've seen them pretty cheap in the past but I'm sure they've gone up. Probably make a nice show when hit. Got any videos.

Yes I do use them as targets. Not every time I go to the range, but I've shot several hundred over the last couple years. I got a considerable number of API's for about $.20 a pop several years ago and still have more than I'll be able to shoot in the next 5 years. I don't have any videos of me using them as targets, but I do have a few of shooting them at 1000yd out of my Bohica Mk3 AR15 upper. The ball of fire they make is between 8 and 20 inches in diameter. The APIT incendiary charge seems to be less than the API.

eta: needless to say, AMAX loads with new powder are much more accurate. I can tag an 18" dia. gong at 1050 on demand if I guess the wind correctly.
