I'm not saying only participants of the Lilja Group Buy should have access to this first run of bolts, but these bolts did come about as a DIRECT result of the Lilja Group Buy. I'm not opposed to the 2 bolt limit this first time, but if you bought more than 2 barrels you should be able to order enough for your barrels at a minimum.

Dangit, I ordered 5 bolts for my 5 barrels and I forgot to use the coupon code. Which sucks because the shipping charge is quite high for just 5 bolts. Oh well I guess.

I agree with Cory's statement too. But did Mark get a copy of the group buy so he could work together on this? Did Cory speak to Mark about this and coordinate anything? Hind site is 20/20 and should have been brought up a while ago and maybe it did on a PM, I was not involved.

I haven't given Mark a list. If you tell Mark who you are and that you've order x barrels I believe he'll take you at your word, due to the history of honorable individuals involved in this forum.

Now, I will confirm with Mark if he asks me if you were involved in the buy and how many barrels you got.

I didn't understand that Mark had any involvement in the Lilja group buy. Did he agree to be the front man for the bolts for those that wanted them? My understanding was that he was guaranteeing enough bolt purchases to make it worthwhile for the bolt maker. I didn't get that he would then become the source for the bolts that wanted them for barrels from the group buy, but I'll admit that I didn't follow those threads that closely.

In the back of my mind, I thought the group buy bolts were being sourced directly from the manufacturer, am I wrong?

I'm going to have to pay closer attention to the group buy threads, I guess.

The machine shop is only structured to deal with production, not retail sales, so Precision Firearms agreed to help us out by handling that. Furthermore, PF is only getting stripped bolts, and building them up with extractor and ejector assemblies.

Mark also ate $8000 in bolts that were made to the .124" bolt face recess, and coordinated with Maxim to make sure we were getting a bolt made to Grendel dimensions with the deeper recess, correct lug length, and correct tail length.

I was not aware of this, so my apologies. If that was the case, he should have been made aware of who those people were, so that he could coordinate the bolt sales.

Agreed. One major learning point with all this is that there needs to be one Point of Contact on group buys, with some specific pillars in place if they are to be successful. That POC needs to be able to provide manufacturers with the necessary technical data, and ensure that the data is vetted well based on the nuances of this cartridge, where we have less wiggle room to err within the AR15 receiver set.

That will ensure that group buys go smoothly, with clear input and expectations. This bolt buy could have fizzled if Mark had not pulled it from the drain after the initial run of bolts were made with .124" recesses.

ccording to the note on the PF site, the limit is 2, and that orders for more than 2 will be filled on the next batch of bolts.

Yeah, I am not trying to get them fast. I just need to get them. I have 5 barrels coming so 2 bolts don't really fill my need.

I was the same way, just like Tedward, but got them anyway expecting to pay the $76. Like Ted, I thought "no biggie", I was glad for opportunity to preorder. Mark said he would manually fix those where the discount did not work. I suspect when they put it back up this afternoon, they didn't insert the right discount for them. Sounds like you did get the 5%, I would ensure they know about your order...even though I bet they know already. Good luck, hope it works out.

So who knows how the code worked or not. I sent PF an email have not got a reply. So they must be busy. Well see what happens. Good luck with your orders guys.

I have had a satern barrel on order for over ayear. They have told me numerous times that they don't have any bolts to ship with the barrels. So I took matters into my own hands and called les Baer customs ordered a bolt for 85.00 and sent it to satern. This all took place within the past week. When I asked the lady at les baer how many bolts were available for 264 lbc she said how many do you want and how much money do you have. This leads me to believe that les Baer is the go to company. My bolt arrived in 2 days with priority shipping. I will email satern again in amonth and see what kind of progress is being made. They are all out of excuses now!

I had pretty much the same thing except my email didn't show the discount. So I don't know if it is being applied later or how it is being addressed. I don't really care if I have to pay the full amount as I didn't order anything else along with it.

I have had a Satern Cut Rifled Barrel on order since Oct 2012. I get the same story from Miranda at satern. She says the don't have any bolts. I jut ordered a Cut rifled bartlein barrel from PF15.com I am sure I will ge it before I get the Satern.

I am sure of it. I ordered a Neptune V upper with a Bartlein barrel a few months back and from order date to ready to ship date, was 4 weeks. Man, it looks tight and shoots sooo nice!

Mark, is there any news on the bolts? If Lilja doesn't get one soon, it may delay the shipment of my barrel. I am having them headspace to the MF/PF bolt.
I may go ahead and ask Lilja to headspace to the AA bolt.
