Hi Colt,
I have a half dozen friends building Eliseo rifles right now, most are R5's for across the course competition or mid range prone competitions. Most are in 6BR but a few .260's and one 6.5 Creedmoor. I have the Tubb 2000 in 6.5 Creedmoor it is a fantastic caliber.

Thanks. I got the M96 more than 20 years ago at the local gun store for the princely sum of $99. It has all matching serial numbers and has always shot amazingly well. I am amazed at the craftmanship put into the military arms of the time.

The Swede's have been known for extracting and producing arguably the world's finest steel for centuries. They make superb artillery and cannon barrels, as well as rifle and machine gun barrels. They also have a disproportionate military industry to population, when compared to other nations, with the capacity to make their own aircraft as well.

Stick to the slower 6.5 cals. That is the shine point -on the 6.5's. The ultra fast units= a lead smear from the 60's-70's= 264 mag-& etc.==Way too fast, for their times. Bullet design was not up to par-as compared to- 2006- 2012. I've proven that a few times-lately. Lots of data, that I have collected= the 6.5 is the Best diam. out there-almost to a bar-none status! I hate to keep repeating ourselves- yet the 6.5mm is the best-of the best.- as per cal. diams. go==--- & the down range performance, as compared to a ---.308? My old man=76 yrs. old freaks upon me every time -my GRRR-shows up at the range--he first complains of the AR package=look== Why does that scare you? It is only a mix of aluminum. & steel==a few machined parts---====UMMMMM just like your freakkkkkkkinnn car!!!!!!; Don't cry of a rifle to me or anyone , anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife and I were given a Carl Gustaf 96 Mauser as a wedding present.
I bought my wife a first year Remington Model 7 .260 Rem.
I built two Grendels last year.
I just had a rifle rechambered in 6.5x47 Lapua.
I'd like a modern 6.5x55.

My Savage rifles in 6.5x284 Norma are what I compete with in IBS sanctioned 1000 yard benchrest competition.

I have a pair of Savage rifles in 6.5x284 Norma chambering and shoot one in "Light Gun Class" and the other in "Factory Gun Class". Here are the two factory rifles in their Pelican cases.



This was a group that I shot last summer, that was a bit over 5 1/2" for 5 shots at 1,000 yards, shot at the "Show Me Bench-Rest" club in NE Missouri. This was in the "Factory Gun" class with a Savage 6.5x284 Norma with 140 gr. Hornady A-max bullets.

I just added a 6.5 Lapua to the herd instead of the 6.5 Super LR. I ordered some Wilson dies and got an email from them that the neck bushings were back ordered 2-3 weeks. When will this end, there are some hogs waiting to die LOL!

In addition to my Grendel, I also shoot a 260 Remington and 6.5x55. Makes stocking bullets easier. My only other centerfire rifles are chambered for the 204 Ruger. With these I can pretty much tackle any critters that I care to hunt.
