I found XD750 and Titan bolts from AR15Performance.com that use a custom barrel extension and are available only with a barrel purchase. Have these been independently tested?

The owner of AR15Performance is a big supporter of the 6.8 SPC. He and people on this site have butted heads numerous times.

And yet the barrels are absolutely wonderful.
I have an 18” SPR barrel in 6.5 grendel with his enhanced bolt. I have zero worries about it. It’s a quality part.
My .223 and 7.62x39 barrels from him have all been tac drivers.
It’s a shame he’s out of the grendel game. As far as I know I got one of his last grendel barrels.

I wouldn’t buy anything from AR15 Performance, imo he pushed the platform in his work to extremes. But that’s me, I know people like his stuff and I know people who don’t.

Hell you can’t even bring his company name up on AR15.com. There’s nothing wrong with the Grendel bolt, if there was then the DOD wouldn’t have picked up the 6mmARC for some units.

Can you break a Grendel bolt sure, but if you source the item from a reputable source and use it within the limits then you’ll be good to go. Hell 5.56 bolts break or lugs shear off and it’s got more meat.
