I could have returned the barrel to them if I bought it there.
I am just relating my first experience with Primary Arms. I listened to how good PA's customer service was and didn't read the details for myself.
If someone will read this thread they will see I will probably buy from PA in the future but I now don't think they are the leader in customer service.
I am not upset because BCA is taking care of me.
Brownells has enough pull to force companies to reimburse them unlike small resellers like PA similar to Best Buy and Lowes as I said earlier. They lack the bully ability of that facet of customer service. They more than likely would lose the products if they tried.

Do you really think a reseller must bully the manufacturer to get reimbursed for defective merchandise? That doesn't sound like a cordial business relationship.
Edit: I received an email from the supervisor at PA saying he will keep the RMA open if BCA does not get me a good barrel.
I will change the title if I can when I get satisfaction.
Here is the barrel. The description seems mighty good. Air gauged and everything.

Let's pick at words now. Having pull. Does that sound better? Even though that pull is generally through fear of losing the distribution of said large company.
BTW...the satisfaction comment totally made me think of the "I demand satisfaction" episode of the Simpsons. LOL!
EDIT: Just so we are clear. I'm just commenting my opinions and am in no way in opposition to you and your getting what you need. Just a conversation. A really slow internet conversation. hah

I've always been impressed with Primary Arms and their customer service. Theyve been extremely helpful when I've asked questions and didn't even end up buying it. But that's also not returning things, a bit different. Hopefully it works out in your favor. Sounds like if BCA doesn't Primary might

I don't watch the Simpsons any more so I don't know what you are talking about.
I know others have had good experiences with PA and I think my experience will end well.
I work at Lowes and we would never tell a customer they could not return something.
We even take returns that were purchased at Home Depot. LOL.

Ive been dealing with the same thing. Finally just got tired of the revolving door of returns and receiving shite. Mine were bought through classic so i contacted them. They said the same thing "return must be initiated through bca first" they issue refund to classic i send barrels back to bca get my refund through classic.
Same thing with primary im sure. Ive had many returns through primary as well. And their cust. Service is kick ass..
BCA CS is fairly decent, their barrels Not so much. Im only hoping i dont have garbage for their side charger and 14.5" 55.6 barrel i pulled off in fav of a BA 20" 5.56 that was like $140 @ primary.

I bought a 20 BCA barrel from Primary Arms a couple months ago, couldnt get any factory loads to shoot... I ended up contacting BCA and within a couple of days I had a return shipping label, and it took about 2 weeks from the time I shipped it to get a replacement from them. Seemed to be easy to deal with and provided a couple of options. Be warned though, the gas port on both 20 barrels had gas ports measuring 0.1 which is oversized. Adjustable gas block should take care of it though.

I received the replacement barrel from BCA and cleaned it real good.
I did learn how to use the macro mode in combination with manual focus to get better pictures.
Click on photo then click again and it should enlarge more.
This barrel is a lot better than the previous one. I will shoot it on Monday and if it shoots OK I will be good to go.
I tried to change the title of the thread to Primary Arms Customer Service. It changed in my first post title but not in the overall title.

Nice picture, but I would be returning that one too and ask for the money back.

That was my first thought too, but it was very cheap. Not much more than a tomato stake. Now I know why BCA is able to give barrels away free to veterans.

I thought about that first but then it would be less than 16".
Then I thought about welding a pipe onto the cut barrel.
Maybe a good opportunity for lathe practice (6" Atlas lathe) and stainless steel TIG welding practice.
Edit: I could braze a 3/4" copper pipe to the end. Sizes are very close.

Could also just pound it in the ground and plant an expensive rose bush next to it.
Send that POS back.

The funny part about that is the rose bush would cost more than the barrel.
I am planning to shoot it today. I will report.

I shot the POS barrel today. No tomato stake for this $50 barrel. My last five shot group was .620" at 50 yards using cheap Tula steel case 124gr HP (about 1.2 MOA).
The lands were still well formed near the muzzle even with the extra gouges. It is good enough to keep.
It even shoots cheap steel case ammo better than any Grendel barrel I have.
