Have a 16 inch and 20 in her this tread has got me thinking do I need or want an 18 incher

I also have a SCR amd was hesitant to try the 6.5 on it as its not advided.

I have shot 223/556 & 300 off it no issues.

How does it work for you with a 6.5 upper?

Completely get it. I use to live in CT than moved to NY. Much cheaper and yes the laws are bad but I can still have things CT won’t allow.

We cannot have a reg AR. (Unless exempt) But eliminating something like a removable magazine (Factory fixed) and the lower is now acceptable. (As long as you run a simple upper) Can you have a removable magazine? I thought no... we also have a 10rnd restriction. (NOT a game law) Serious questions not "poking the bear here"

From the research I’ve done as far as game hunting goes it can’t have more than 5 rounds. No silencers. Nothing too bad. Now as far as the ar itself, if it accepts a magizine and is semi auto it has to be 10 rounds or less. It can’t have a pistol grip or a threaded barrel, no bayonet lug, Grenade launcher. So I have yet to hear about any prosecutions or any real clarification on how the law was written so it’s all interpretation. According to the safe act interactive web tool the minute you say your semi auto doesn’t accept magizines it says it’s nlt considered an AW and it’s fair game.
