A platform and mags designed around the Grendel and a never need to replace bolt with a specified round count like the current AR series does would be great evolution with this outstanding cartridge in my opinion. The market place will always be the determination of success or failure with any idea. The 6.8 is a great little cartridge and LWRC made it a little better with a better platform and mags. If it was worth the expense and is a commercial success we will see other companies following suit. If not it will end with LWRC. Yes, the last thing Grendel owners need is more confusion with multiple throats, bolt types, inferior made barrels, bolts and more opinions than in a political debate . But in my humble opinion the biggest obstacle to the Grendel has been Ammo availability which seems to be at the moment being addressed. I don't really see a big confusion if a company made an upgrade similar to the Six 8. High end consumers would probably be all over it wanting to have the latest and greatest Grendel platform. , but if it would be a commercial success is a different story especially when the current platform fits current AR platforms and has outstanding performance.
