Budget 1st Grendel upper build

If you plan on shooting long range you might consider a 20 MOA scope mount. On my 16" 6.5 Grendel I run out of elevation at 800 yards. A friend's Brownell's 18" barrel was shooting MOA out to 900 meters when he went to visit his son at Ft Campbell. My 16" stays supersonic past 1000 yards with factory A-Max at 350' ASL.

Is there any problem using those and shooting closer distances? While I would like to shoot 800+, the farthest I know of locally is once a month 600yrd. Aside from that for now I am looking @ 100-200yrds day to day.
