Advice on first Grendel build.

I would keep your colt how it is and buy or build a complete 6.5 upper. The 6.5 cost more to shoot and in those times you find yourself shooting large amounts you are going to like the 223.

If you decide to build you are going to need a barrel wrench and action block if you don't already have those tools.

I have another AR that is set up for fighting, so I have one to burn ammo with.
I was hoping to turn the Colt into a more accurate long range rifle on the AR platform.
I thought perhaps I could convert it to the Grendel with a minor number of parts
by putting in a top quality barrel, bolt, FF handguard, gas block, and Grendel mags.
I have access to the tools for the change, but it may be just as easy to buy
an AA upper and just switch them out. Many thanks.
