My daughter just turned 10 and wants to get out and go hunting with dad. So I want to set up a rifle so that my kids can use it. But a 7 mag is just too much and I don't really want to buy a kids rifle that they will grow out of in 5 years. So I started looking around and found that the AR platform is extremely diverse, and the grendel looks to be the best caliber for what I'm looking for. I will be able to use it for varmits. Because I have used the 7 mag on varmits and it doesn't leave much for the taxidermist to work with. I can also put a suppressor on it and the kick will be virtually nothing for the kids. So to answer your question small game javalina, deer, coyotes, bobcats so on.
