Is that an aluminum gas block? If so, you might consider replacing it with a steel gas block, since you have a mid-length gas system. Aluminum gas blocks are ok on a rifle-length gas system, but experience too much heat shift compared to the steel barrel on mid and carbine-length gas systems, resulting in gas leakage and short-stroking, especially when you run rapid strings of fire. If it's steel, disregard. You can get away with an Aluminum one for a while, if you shoot very conservatively when it comes to the frequency of your shots, but steel is really the way to go. I would recommend the PRI, low-profile adjustable gas block, which will also allow you to tune your system to your preferences regarding reliability and recoil, treatment of your brass, and so forth.
What barrel is that? Any pics of the groups with 123gr AMAX? Nice rig...I really like the Spike's lowers, especially when I can get them on sale.
