One of my .936" bbl's came with a gas block and tube, and for the other bbl I bought the gas block and standard rifle length gas tube separately. Both bbl's are RLGS, and while I didn't compare them side-by-side, I do remember the gas tubes aligned quite nicely with the gas tube journal on the upper. No tweaking or coaching was needed, and the gas keys of both bolt carriers scarcely contact the tube, at all.
I'd say it's a non-issue, if my experiences are representative at all.
