I have a right to be safe when I buy a ticket and attend a mass event with other people in close proximity?
If the roof collapses in a storm and crushes dozens, then creates a panic that results in hundreds trampled, like has happened before, it doesn't really matter who is to blame in the end.
The fact is that we take risks with out lives every day. Going into a large public arena where there are only so many exists = a high risk environment. When I am in these types of venues, there is an expectation that something will go wrong. If it goes incident-free, chalk it up to another lucky pass in my view.
I personally think that if someone saw everyone with blasters, they would be more apt to behave themselves, and security would be inclined to pull them quickly if they got out of hand from mental illness combined with alcohol consumption. Those with mental disorders who consume alcohol find it easy to act a fool in public for some reason, so you get what you get either way. I personally steer clear from mass casualty events in the making as much as possible, and have no expectation of safety when attending them. Roll the dice, and either enter or don't. Concerts and sports arenas are inherently dangerous.
