It can depend on your shooting position where you put the cheek rest. Off the bench I have my cheek rest down more than in the prone. My shooting buddy is just the opposite. I know you weren't bashing it and it would be silly to use a stock that doesn't fit but used it for the so called cool factor. I had the PRS stock on another Grendel build but took it off because of its heavy weight. When I used the lighter stock for precision I had a lot harder time keeping my rifle steady so I installed it on my last Grendel build.
