For hunters in the sticks who are shooting at closer ranges, I think it's a reasonable proposition. There will still be many that are just happy with the existing line-up of cup and core pills, especially the 123gr SST. I don't get too wrapped around the axle with it. The experimentation sneaky one as been doing with the cut-down GMX's is pretty brutal on medium game, even after he cleaned up the area before taking pics, and velocity is way up there for more shock effect.
I just picked up some N530 powder that I will be testing, as there is data for it in the Grendel in every projectile weight from 100gr to 156gr from Lapua, indicating that it's worth exploring.
I think it's still feasible to keep the BC in the .400's with a ~100gr 6.5mm solid, since the 110gr Barnes Banded Solid is .452, and the 100gr TTSX is .359, with a short boat tail and tangent ogive. Go hybrid ogive and long boat tail with a ~100gr pill, with relief bands, and drive it fast, and I think it would make a great hunting pill that doesn't give up a lot of retained energy.
