The Six8 lower receiver with its reconfigured mag well, together with the 30-round P-Mag that is optimized specifically for the 6.8 cartridge, reportedly corrects those reliability issues. It would also eliminate the possibility of a soldier inadvertently inserting a 6.8 mag into a 5.56 gun.
This action might also explain why Colt decided awhile back to not make 6.5 Grendel AR's...
