Lightweight Build for High Sonoran Desert

I greatly enjoy shooting, but the weapons used to shoot are tools to me, not toys, but I can understand the interaction. My father law calls the many thousands of dollars of wood working tools he has accumulated "his toys", so there certainly is overlap.

Certainly. I think that a soldier or cop can rightly view as tools the weapons he uses in his occupation.

But, for someone like me, who shoots solely for recreation, I can only consider them as toys, not tools.

I guess I try to make my avocation more and more my occupation. LOL!! My dream job would be to own a high end gun store!

Everybody should have a dream. Running a gun shop wouldn't be high on my list, though. I'd have to deal with too many customers like me!

I don't want to be a gunsmith, because that requires me to work and not discuss!

I used to spend a lot of time at a local gunsmith's shop. He seemed to spend as much time shooting the breeze with his customers as he did working on their guns. Maybe that's why he never made much $$$ at it? LOL
