Lightweight Build for High Sonoran Desert

I was always taught and (try to teach my son) that 1 of something that is quality is better than several of something that are not quite what you want or need. Just building a rifle is one thing, but by the time you add a quality mount and quality glass you have just doubled or tripled the price of the rifle. A good rifle with a cheap scope is not a quality tool. I try to spend the money once and get what I want or I am not happy until I do and I get depressed about wasting money on something I was not totally happy with.

If I had an unlimited amount of money this would be less of a problem and I might learn to "collect" guns rather than just enjoy and shoot the ones I have
