Do you mean 7 Tenths of an inch (0.7), or 7 ten thousandths of an inch (0.0007)?

Here is the application thickenss from one manufacture who specializes in Firearms. Different thicknesses are needed in different surface areas. Roll pin and spring seats need minimal coating or they will fill in or not function correctly. A company that has done carrier finishes knows what needs coated with how much or not. Extra thickness is not always best. It's not that all parts get the same coating thickness.
