On reflection, it seems prudent to also send the evidence to the ammunition maker. This is a good way to rule out, or rule in, out of spec ammunition as the source of your problem.
Yes, both will claim their product is fine, but giving both a chance to research what happened gives you, them, and the community a chance to bring this to closure sooner than later.
