I never felt disparaged, and consider your opinion every bit as valuable as my own. I just happen to disagree with your assessment. My thoughts on the effectiveness of this particular .410 is that the multiple wound channels are likely to inflict debilitating, game stopping injuries. In a home defense scenario, you'll be lucky to get a shot of at greater than 7-10 feet, and that would be well within the effective range of such a round.
In the interest of full disclosure, I don't actually own such a weapon. It just looks effective, based on the data that I have seen. Perhaps I am overly optimistic, but there are several examples of the effectiveness of this particular combination that show it performing well at distances up to 10 yards.
I don't know yor background, Kb, so I am not at all certain what you allude to, when you say you've "seen it for yourself". Naturally, real-world experiences have a greater bearing on such things, and I have none to refer to.
