AR15 pistols are supposed to be marked as such, and if you buy one, it will say "Pistol" on it. They are transferred as pistols on the 4473. It's a stupid, pointless "law", that has zero effect on crime, while making things more difficult for good, upstanding citizens, not that I would ever label the unwashed masses of the horde with such a name.
