My current favorite is a 3# Timney drop-in. Crisp, single stage. I also have RRA NM 2 stage triggers in two of my blasters, and really like them for that purpose. The only other triggers I've personally owned were either mil spec or mil spec + spring kits, which are ok if you've never shot aftermarket.
The Timney is very crisp and predictable. At 3#, it is light enough for bench work, but still heavy enough to be what I consider safe for a bit of field work. The reset is short and precise. It only has had ~500 rounds fired, but the pull is still the same, and no difference in feel.
The RRA's have a slightly longer reset, but not at all bad. They are at ~6#, split at about 3# and 3# between the two stages. Very safe triggers for field work, but not so great at the bench. Their heavier hammers also translate into slower lockup times, and it is especially noticeable, compared to the Timney.
Overall, I still prefer the single stage Timney. Is it the "Best Trigger"? Yes - for me - today.
