Are you saying you found 2.0gr difference between the short 6.5x284 and the BRX? 2 grains is a bit of powder to me, especially if we're going slower-burning, but if the 6.5 BRX runs fine from PRI mags, then that is a major plus.

Are you cutting the case length down from 1.560" for the 6.5mm? There is a ton of neck to work with on that brass.

2gr difference between the 6.5BRX(42) and 30RAR brass(44.5). You'll lose .5 gr necking it down to 6.5.
284 and 6.5-284 is thicker than 30RAR brass, you'll lose more capacity there and end up within 1/2gr of the BRX. The BRX does feed fine from PRI 6.8 mags, will not work in the Grendel mags at least not the 25round mags I have. 5 rounds of 30RAR will jam the G mags. The PRI 6.8 mags I have will spit out all 5 rounds of RAR. I left the BRX(1.560) and RAR (1.530)brass full length.
The BRX will push a 123gr to around 2800fps out of a 20" barrel, maybe a little more with some of the newer powders.
