The Horus ASLI and other manufacturers' ACI's simply indicate the correction factor to be multiplied by your slant range distance.
If your ASLI reads .98 (or whatever), just multiply that times your slant range.
There are also higher end range finders that read both horizontal and slant range, e.g., the Vectronix 25C.
