You are getting in to deep, opinions are like A holes everybody has one.
Just look at history the ar15 was designed to use the ar15 bolt carrier as a semi automatic it was colt who changed it from semi auto to full auto and then had cycling problems and had to redesign the carrier and so a m16 carrier may help but then there are people who use a lighter carrier and they swear that it is better.
Use what works Its a semi automatic NOT a fully automatic machine gun.
You Liberty will be head spaced with the type 2 bolt
The standard firing pin works as good as any gold plated, platinum,titanium firing pin
You have asked a question which not many have asked as to the firing pin length and the extra depth of the type 2 bolt face in theory you are right to think the pin should be shorter because of the extra .011" but in practice no body that I know has every had a problem with the standard firing pin.
