Hi Nimrod: I have the same problem with most rings not being high enough because of the shape of my face. I finally went with Badger Ordnance. They make an Ultra High model that has a height of 1.40 inches.
These come in regular weight, model 306-10, that weigh 10.7 ounces and a lightweight version, model 306-18, that weigh only 5.1 ounces.
The lightweight ones are made out of a different alloy to make them so much lighter.
I've got the lightweight version because I'm always trying to keep things as light as possible.
I've had these for years and on several rifles and they have always held a great zero.
The only thing I wish they were is quick detach but I guess we can't have everything.
With that said, I have taken them with the scope still in them and moved them to another rifle and they still held the zero from the one rifle to the other.
