From inside industry sources with some of the biggest ammunition manufacturers in the world, I am hearing that the LE market pales in comparison to the civilian market demand and consumption. LE Agencies are having a very difficult time sourcing ammo, to the point that certain calibers are already back-ordered out to 2 years.
Another reason why I am digging my Grendel when everyone is paying crazy stupid money for 5.56 and .223, as well as .308 Win. Hornady 123gr A-MAX is cheaper now than .223 and .308 FGMM.
