I talked with Frank today for well over an hour. He's an OEM BCG manufacturer, and has been making AR15 critical parts for a long time for several different companies. He said they made a run of 7.62x39 Bolts a while ago, with a deeper bolt face depth, and a different extractor that were independently tested in high-volume and found to be durable over the long-term.
I was expecting an up-and-coming small shop, but was pleasantly surprised to learn more about their capabilities and industry history. I actually think that the stars are aligning somehow, and that this could be a great source for Grendel bolts.
